Quick guide to common spiders

 annoyed Opisthoncus

 Yellow female

 unknown Opisthoncus

This spider is about 1cm long. It lives in a tree at Bateau Bay and was one of the first creatures I found when I arrived although there has been no sign of them since.

The images were taken just after Christmas this year (2012). Several attempts were made to identify it and all anyone would say is that she was likely an Opisthoncus genus as she looks a like some of the other spiders in that family.

I had little refuge where two leaves were glued together with silk (below) and was in a tree I do not recognise but looks like one of the native replacements for Liquid Amber. Like so many of my images in here these are not so great!
